Advent Devotional: Friday, December 7

For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. (1 John 3:8b)

In sharing with others we should be confident that Jesus has come to untie everyone and everything that the devil has bound up. May God help us to encourage those who are in the grip of life-controlling habits and addictions that there is power to help them in Jesus' Name.

Jesus, all authority has been given to You in Heaven and in earth. Display Your power in the lives of people by setting them free from bondages of every kind.
